What is the difference between a residential IP VPS and a regular proxy?

Many teams confuse residential IP, proxy port, and VPS. In fact, the three are very different in terms of permissions, isolation, and auditability.

The core of residential IP VPS is not "one more exit", but a combination of exclusive IP, a complete operating system and controllable operation and maintenance processes. Long-term account login, file upload, live broadcast tools and browser environment can be fixed in the same instance.

Ordinary proxies are usually more suitable for temporary access or light requests, but in account operation scenarios, device environment, time zone, browser cache, and human operations are equally important. If you only change the agent without fixing the system environment, there will still be obvious drift.

Therefore, when selecting a team, you should first determine the workload: if it is just interface access, a proxy may be enough; if it is accounts, stores, live broadcast rooms, and remote offices, the stable environment of VPS is more controllable.
