Choose a VPS region using measured network data
Compare StarKube VPS regions across Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Korea, the United States and Europe using market fit, latency, routes and availability.
The closest region is not always the best region. Select a location based on the users or services the workload must reach, then test latency, packet loss and route stability from the networks that will actually use it.
Asia-Pacific locations
Hong Kong can suit low-latency collaboration from nearby markets, while Singapore, Japan and Korea are common choices for Southeast Asian and Northeast Asian workloads. Results vary by source ISP and time of day.
North America and Europe
Use a North American or European location when the primary audience, service dependency or data workflow is in that region. Measure from both operator and customer networks before committing.
What to record during a test
Keep the test timestamp, source ISP, destination address, average and tail latency, packet loss, route changes and plan specification. A single daytime ping is not enough evidence for production selection.
Frequently asked questions
Which VPS region is fastest from mainland China?
There is no universal answer. Results depend on the local carrier, international route and peak-hour congestion, so test candidate regions from the actual access network.
