DNS leak testing for VPS browser environments
Compare DNS-over-HTTPS answers, system resolvers and browser settings before remote operations.
A DNS leak check compares responses from independent resolvers and can reveal obvious inconsistencies. It cannot prove that a VPN or VPS has no leak, but it is a useful preflight check.
For a remote browser, record system DNS, browser proxy, extensions, clock settings and public IP. Some incidents come from a browser bypassing the proxy or from WebRTC and local configuration rather than DNS alone.
Repeat the check after provisioning, changing proxy policy or rotating a network exit, and store it with the environment change record.
